Contribution Types and Suggested Topic Areas

ACOEDI 2026 welcomes academic papers, concept notes, policy briefs, practice cases, company/practitioner experience cases, presentations, panel contributions, innovation showcases and demonstrations. Submissions should clearly show the problem, action or intervention, actors involved, evidence, results or lessons, and relevance to economic development and innovation.

Accepted Contribution Types

ACOEDI 2026 accepts the following types of contributions across all 5 conference tracks:

Academic Paper

Peer-reviewed research presenting theoretical or empirical findings. Track 1 contributors.

Concept Note

A structured outline of an idea, initiative or proposed approach (300–500 words).

Policy Brief

A focused document proposing or analysing a policy position or governance innovation.

Practice Case

A documented case study from implementation, programmes or development practice.

Company / Practitioner Experience Case

An organisation's direct experience — lessons, successes, failures, and insights.

Presentation

Slide-based contribution sharing research, findings, insights or models (10–15 slides).

Panel Contribution

Prepared input to a structured panel discussion on a defined economic development theme.

Innovation Showcase / Demonstration

Live or exhibit-based showcasing of a product, technology, platform or venture.
