1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the IfEDI website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Membership

2.1 Application

Membership applications are subject to approval by IfEDI. We reserve the right to reject applications that do not meet eligibility criteria.

2.2 Obligations

  • Maintain accurate and current information
  • Comply with the IfEDI Code of Ethics
  • Meet annual CPD requirements
  • Pay membership fees on time
  • Use designations appropriately and only when in good standing

3. Certification

Certification is granted based on:

  • Meeting qualification and experience requirements
  • Successful completion of competency assessments
  • Adherence to ethical standards
  • Payment of certification fees

Certifications must be renewed according to IfEDI requirements. Failure to maintain CPD compliance may result in suspension or withdrawal of certification.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and materials, is the property of IfEDI and protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

5. Code of Ethics

All members must:

  • Act with integrity and professionalism
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Avoid conflicts of interest
  • Represent qualifications and experience accurately
  • Contribute to the advancement of the profession

6. Fees and Payments

All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Fees are subject to change with notice to members. Non-payment may result in suspension of membership or certification.

7. Liability

IfEDI provides educational and professional services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services.

8. Disciplinary Action

IfEDI reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership or certification for violations of these terms, ethical misconduct, or professional malpractice.

9. Amendments

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes shall be resolved in South African courts.
